Stay Positive, things change so fast!
February 15, 2020
I spent hours creating a website. I started as soon as I was assigned and tried to follow all of the steps outlined. I chose to use WordPress because there was a YouTube video showing how to create the website in 24 steps. Because this is all new to me, I felt having step by step instructions would be best. I have learned that YouTube videos are soon out of date. The video described steps that are no longer available. The Elementor program "free" no longer has all of the options discussed in the step by step unless you purchase the "pro" package. I am not ready to purchase that package so deactivated Elementor and tried to do the website from scratch. That was worse. I reloaded and started again. (Each time I changed my mind, everything previously done was automatically purged.) The good things that came from this are: I learned more each time I had to rebuild. I remembered being told that things change daily and we are responsible to find how to do what we need to do. I recognized I often was able to find help online. I was reminded I can look for help before I am desperate.
Although I have been working steadily, I counted on Saturday as a finish up day. Sadly, I have been blocked from my account and will not be able to get back on to finish it for 24 hours. I am disappointed I will not be able to clean up this website. I think it has all the required items, but, it is not working just like I want it to. I don't have to go to work on Monday, so I will spend time working on it then.
In the mean time, I will be able to spend time doing housework and dejunking my house since I can't do homework. That is also a positive.
